Description
Another Vanitas arrangement, this time with a framed niche with a statue of Athena, Goddess War but also the patron of the Arts and Crafts. The floating bubbles symbolize the fragility and transience of life, the hourglass that time is passing and eventually runs out. The snuffed candle is another symbol of the transience of life. Coins, books and a paper with the memento mori writing Vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas.
The shadow of a window is reflected on the frame and niche. The whole arrangement is laying on a table or chest with a drawer where pearl necklaces are coming out, indicating wealth.
The message as always is riches and wealth are temporary, live according to the laws of God so that you can face him in the eternity.
